What products on the NHD website are allowed under level 4?
As of 14 May 2020, the South African government has opened up all e-commerce activity under level 4, except for alcohol and tobacco products. All our non-alcohol products & home goodies are available. You can still pre-order alcohol online for delivery once permitted. We are sorry for any inconvenience.
Can I order alcohol?
You can pre-order alcohol during level 4. Our product range has been marked off substantially for the lockdown period. As per the government’s regulations, alcohol is not permitted under level 4. We will only be able to deliver alcohol after the ban has been lifted.
When do you expect will the ban on alcohol be lifted?
As per the draft framework of the government’s Risk Adjusted Strategy, it seems we will be allowed to deliver alcohol products under level 3 when the off-premise consumption is permitted.
Please note that the government will confirm this as we move to new alert levels, and we will update our customers via our website and emailers as soon as we know for certain.
What safety measures are the NHD team following at the distillery?
We’ve implemented strict hygiene controls at our distillery. We sanitise our facility regularly, and there is a hand sanitation station for employees. We’ve provided face masks and gloves to staff and implemented social distancing.
What are the safety measures on delivery?
When will I receive my order?
We can deliver all products on our online store, except for alcohol which is not permitted under level 4.
All alcohol products (gins, vodka) will be delivered when the government permits it under a lockdown level. Currently, it seems that we might see the ban lifted for the off-premise consumption under level 3 (as per the Government’s Risk Adjusted Strategy). We will only know for certain when the regulations have been announced and confirmed. When the date of delivery is confirmed, you will receive your order within 5 to 7 working days, however, please expect a slight delay as we have received an overwhelming response to our sales items during the lockdown period. Our apologies for any inconvenience caused. Our lockdown sale is open indefinitely – we’ll deliver your order as soon as we’re allowed.
What if placed an order and would like to place another, would I get both orders at the same time?
When placing the second order, please add your first order number under the "notes" section upon checkout - we will try our best to send the packages together so it reaches your destination in one delivery.
I'm not yet back in the office, can I please change my delivery address?
Please notify us about your address change by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. We will need the following information: name, surname, order number, old and new address.
Can I collect my order at your distillery/warehouse?
No, unfortunately not.
Will orders take longer to deliver during the lockdown?
As always, we’re working closely with our courier partners to ensure you get your goodies safely and quickly. However, please do allow a few extra days. You can easily track your order when you get the shipping confirmation email.
I no longer want the product/s I ordered. Can I cancel?
Our lockdown sale will run indefinitely. During this time and because sale item stock can get depleted quite quickly, we will allow 24 hours after you’ve placed an order to cancel and qualify for a full refund. After that, cancellations will impose an administration fee of 5% of the total order.
I didn’t receive a shipping confirmation or tracking number. What now?
