Brandy generally has a sharper taste and mouthfeel than Whisky but a well matured Brandy has a very smooth and rounded taste. I do enjoy a good brandy and this has all the makings of one. It has the characteristics of a 3-5yo. Typically has more prominent flavors provided by the cask. However on the first sip I knew this wasn't an XO. It has a spicy palate and the flavors provided by the barrel is quite prominent. I believe that this would be a good brandy for most but I do prefer a well matured brandy. I like sipping and I don't feel like this is a sipping brandy. Like they say. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Each to their own.
Very smooth, its in the levels of expensive cognac
I did a small tasting session with my mates. I compared this brandy to some well established cognac and to my and all our surprise, it was way smoother. I had to show my mates that I wasn't faking it and we did another tasting session😉. Super impressed with a locally produced brandy......DON'T DRINK IT WITH COKE! You will spoilt it😉
